At the beginning of March I had the pleasure of photographing Lucie and Rob’s wedding.
The day started for me with Lucie, her bridesmaids and parents getting ready at her parent’s family home in Walton-on-the-Wolds where Lucie was really relaxed. Lucie and Rob were getting married at St. Mary’s Church which was literally next door and within walking distance from her parent’s house so in between the bridal preparations, I popped over to the church to see Rob and his groomsmen and also capture photographs of some of their wedding guests arriving.
It was then back over to Lucie’s parent’s house to photograph Lucie in the final stages of getting ready along with her very proud dad.
Whilst the bridesmaids walked across to the church, Lucie and her dad drove around to the church in the most stunning Rolls Royce car.
Following a beautiful ceremony, which was clearly overwhelming for some, the wedding party were lucky to be able to enjoy the glorious sunshine which stayed with us for the whole day. Although the temperatures were still not Spring like, the sun certainly shone all day, in fact, it was blazing sunshine something we don’t seem to be seeing enough of at the moment!
After the celebrations of the wedding ceremony at the church, it was then on to the stunning venue of Prestwold Hall near Loughborough where guests enjoyed champagne and canapes.
There were a few group photos and I then took Lucie and Rob for their bride and groom portraits in the stunning grounds at Prestwold Hall before their wedding breakfast meal. The speeches were wonderful and it was clear that Lucie and Rob were made for each other and loved by family and friends.
Into the evening, more guests arrived to enjoy the celebrations and to see Lucie and Rob do their first dance.
As you can see from the photos, Lucie looked stunning and it was a real pleasure being part of Lucie and Rob’s wedding day. I would like to thank both Lucie and Rob for entrusting me to be their wedding photographer and wish them all the happiness in the world in their future together.
