Bride and groom leaving church – “Hey, remember this?”

I’d like to share another favourite photo of mine in my “Hey, remember this?” series.

This photo was taken at Catherine and Matthew’s wedding in 2014.   Catherine and Matthew were leaving St. Wilfred Church in South Muskham and all of their guests had gathered on the road to see them off to their wedding reception.

I’ve always loved this photo and Catherine’s expression in rather nice car (!) but one of the other reasons I love it is because it also captures all of their wedding guests in the background.   Catherine and Matthew didn’t have any large group photos and wanted their day to be photographed as it was, naturally.  This photo is actually like a group photo but without the ushering and lining up of guests which Catherine and Matthew didn’t want.

Although I do take formal group photos at weddings, so as to get the most from my wedding style, I suggest to couples that these are kept to a minimum so that moments like this can be captured.

If you are getting married and looking for a reportage wedding photographer, please get in touch to check availability and request a brochure.
