Before Christmas, I had the pleasure of photographing Jayne and Andy’s wedding at the beautiful St. Chads Church in Draycott.

It was a winter wedding with a 4pm ceremony and, with dull skies, the light had dropped quite early.   In fact, the road leading to the church had flooded the previous week which meant there was no access.  There was a possibility that the church was going to change but fortunately, this wasn’t necessary.    I was really pleased about this as I know the church meant a lot to Jayne and Andy.   Due to the number of people living in it’s parish, the church doesn’t have a lot of weddings throughout the year so it was nice for me to have the opportunity to photograph there.

I remember when I first spoke with Jayne how she told me her priority was to have relaxed beautiful photos of the wedding ceremony.  Although I was there to capture guests arriving and a few photos afterwards, I wanted to focus my blog post on the ceremony only on this occasion.

For church weddings, I personally love black and white photos.  For this reason, I have chosen to show a collection of all black and white photos (despite providing both versions in the final gallery).

I hope you enjoy looking through the selection I have shared.   As you will see, the wedding ceremony was  full of laughter and love.

Short wedding coverage is something which I introduced to my services last year.  It has actually proved popular for couples who who only want a few hours photography.   If you are a looking for a wedding photographer for a couple of hours to cover the ceremony or all day, please get in touch.   I’d love to send you a copy of my wedding brochure an you can view my wedding pricing here.
