Last month I had the pleasure of photographing Kate and Chris’ wedding at the beautiful venue of Hodsock Priory. As it was the middle of Autumn, you would expect the weather to be quite cold, however, it was actually very hot and more like a summer’s day.
The bridal preparations began in the bridal suite at Hodsock Priory with Kate and family and friends. Following the service, everyone enjoyed the celebrations in the gardens. Whilst the sun was extremely bright the light dropped very quickly giving just enough time for some family portraits and bride and groom portraits outdoors.
Whilst it is not usual to photograph during the wedding breakfast meal, Kate and Chris asked me to photograph the beginning as they had arranged for each table to be served with a joint of meat and one person from each table had been allocated the duty of carving the meat, donning the chef’s hat and apron which Kate and Chris provided. It caused quite a lot of laughs and really added to the atmosphere. We then returned for the speeches which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
Kate looked stunning in her beautiful wedding dress and she was definitely one bride who was not going to have sore feet from high heels as she was wearing a cool pair of Converse pumps!
I would like to thank Kate and Chris for choosing me to be their wedding photographer and wish them lots of happiness in their future together.
Thank you also to Emma for assisting me on the day.
