Newark Town & District Club Wedding Photographer | Rebecca and Dennis
In October 2016 I had the pleasure of photographing Rebecca and Dennis’ wedding at the very cool venue, Newark Town & District Club.
My day started with Rebecca and the bridesmaids at Compton House Bed and Breakfast in Newark.
Following here, I headed to St. Gile’s Church in Balderton ready for Dennis and the groomsmen arriving.
When their guests started to arrive, there were quite a few familiar faces as I had photographed Dennis’ brother’s wedding in 2014 and it was really nice to see them again.
Rebecca arrived at church looking stunning and it was a really lovely ceremony celebrating their marriage together.
It was then onto the Newark Town & District Club for their wedding reception. This was the first time I had photographed a wedding here and I have to say it was really cool place (which incidentally matched Dennis and Rebecca’s style).
To the rear of the venue there is a marquee and Rebecca and Dennis’ attention to detail on their wedding decor was really something. Whilst I aways take photos of details at weddings, I tend to only show photos of people on my blog, however, I really wanted to show some of the quirky items which they put on show so there is a collage of these at the end of the post.
Some hilarious speeches followed the wedding breakfast which led nicely into the evening entertainment and Rebecca and Dennis’ first dance.
After they had looked through their photos, I received a lovely email from Rebecca that I wanted to share with you:-
“I have looked at them so many times now, it’s hard to take them all in at once! We love them! I particularly like the ones of the Church service – I often find that this part of the day is overlooked but you have really captured the moment so well. They really reflect how we were feeling (happy but a little bit nervous!) which was one of the things that was very important to me. Your photos actually made me re-live the day, which is fortunate as I don’t really remember it – I’m sure all brides say this but it was all a blur!
I also love the ones of us in the street – my favourite picture is the one of us walking past the picture shop – it’s so different – I’ve never seen anything like it. They are exactly what we wanted.
There are so many lovely pictures with our friends and family too – it’s going to be hard to narrow them down for an album!
Many, many thanks again for giving us so many beautiful memories of our special day!”
I would like to take this opportunity of thanking Rebecca and Dennis for asking me to be their wedding photographer. It was a beautiful day and I was honoured to be part of it.
Thank you x
