At the beginning of April I had the pleasure of photographing Emma and Simon’s wedding at Cockcliffe Country House Hotel in Nottingham which is in Burnstump, somewhere I’ve been quite a few times for portrait sessions.
Emma and Simon’s whole day took place at the Cockcliffe Country House Hotel and, for me, it started with Emma and her bridesmaids getting ready together. Lots of people came into see Emma as they arrived at the hotel to say hi and everyone was in high spirits.
It was then onto the ceremony and I have to mention Emma’s sister who did a very emotional reading during for the service. Lots of tears by her and guests as she struggled to finish her reading through emotions.
Following a lovely service, it was time for their drinks reception. We had a little walk for Emma and Simon’s bride and groom portraits which we just finished in time before the heavens opened. Not forgetting the horse from a nearby field who popped over to join in for a few photos!
The wedding breakfast was held in the marquee at the hotel where guests enjoyed speeches by Emma’s father, Simon and the best man.
It wasn’t long before the evening entertainment began and I believe the party continued until quite late!
Emma looked really beautiful and Emma and Simon make a wonderful couple who were beaming throughout the day. I would like to take this opportunity of thanking Emma and Simon for asking me to be your wedding photographer. It was a pleasure to be part of your day and meet your families and friends and I wish you a future of happiness together.
