You don’t need to go to Vegas for a last-minute wedding. Many couples in the UK are opting for short-notice celebrations, and they can be just as exciting as those planned two years in advance. The problem that can arise though is finding available wedding suppliers, especially photographers which can be challenging during peak seasons and weekend dates.

Tips for Securing a Photographer at Short Notice

If you’ve booked a wedding with short notice, don’t assume everyone is booked. A lot of photographers take a limited amount of wedding bookings a year and you may be surprised that many will have availability.  Some will keep a selection of weekends free for personal reasons but closer to the date, are happy to take on extra bookings so it’s always worth sending a message if you like someone’s work.  You will also find that Monday to Thursday weddings are likely to have more availability.

If you are struggling to find a local photographer, look at other areas in the UK as wedding photographers are often willing to travel.

I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings across the UK, from intimate registry offices to grand castles. However, as I now photograph primarily newborn babies, it means that I don’t book every weekend with weddings meaning there’s a chance I could be available if you’ve recently booked your wedding day.

With 15 years of experience in the wedding industry, I can quickly assess wedding venues, lighting conditions, and group dynamics to capture the best possible images.   • photography coverage from bridal preparations up to the first dance (maximum of 9 hours).
  • USB of digital images.  Printable files beautifully and individually edited.
  • Licence to print and share your images with family and friends.
  • Online password-protected gallery to share with friends.
  • Pre-wedding consultation to discuss your wedding plans in person or by phone.
  • Travel included across the East Midlands. Please request a quote for weddings further afield.

Note: If you have been let down and need an emergency photographer in the next two weeks, a discount will be offered for all-day coverage subject to location.

I offer micro photography coverage for local weddings in Nottinghamshire which covers:

  • up to 2 hours of photography coverage.
  • USB of digital images.  Printable files beautifully and individually edited.
  • Licence to print and share your images with family and friends.
  • Online password-protected gallery to share with friends.
  • Pre-wedding consultation to discuss your wedding plans.
  • Additional hours £150 p/hr
