WHERE MY PHOTOGRAPHY JOURNEY BEGAN

I had always loved black and white photography, particularly fashion and documentary photos… think Audrey Hepburn on the streets of Rome. However, my actual journey of becoming a professional photographer began when my son was born (nearly 18 years ago – where does the time go?). Like any proud mum, I became slightly obsessed with documenting every smile, and milestone. The photo below (although technically not correct), was a finalist in a competition with the National Portrait Gallery and whilst, it didn’t win, it gave me the confidence to put myself out there. Within 2 years of buying my first DSLR, I set up my business.

SINCE 2009

I’ve been fortunate enough to have photographed hundreds of happy occasions from the joy of capturing couples as they say “I do,” to welcoming their firstborns and watching families grow. It’s almost like being part of a real-life love story, and let me tell you I’m a sucker for a rom-com!

This image below won me my first Gold award with SWPP and is still on my wall 14 years later proving that my style doesn’t date.

WHERE AM I TODAY

15 years on I’m proud that I still have clients who choose me to be their photographer year-on-year for different occasions. I love that one day I can be cuddling a newborn baby and the next, I’m listening to the people exchanging their vows or listening to the new ventures of a business client. Whether it’s lifestyle, portrait, or documentary-style shots you need, I can help.

#1. IN A NUTSHELL: I’m a mum to my gorgeous son and one very cute dog. When I’m not behind the camera, I keep active by swimming and going to the gym which makes the glass of Prosecco and chocolate guilt-free! I’m also an SEO geek, which comes in handy for both my photography and helping business clients get found online.

#4. WHO IS GUARANTEED TO MAKE ME SMILE AND LAUGH? My son (you may have gathered, I’m a proud mum!)
#5. IF I HAD TO BUY ONE ITEM OF CLOTHING ON REPEAT IT WOULD BE …. The Black Dress. Timeless and classic and you can never have too many.
