Pregnancy Photo Shoot Nottingham

Beautiful Pregnancy Photos Outdoors or in your Home

Pregnancy photo shoots take place between the 32nd and 36th week of your pregnancy.

I offer sessions in outdoor locations (i.e. country parks) or in your home in Nottingham and nearby areas.

Pregnancy sessions are very personal to each mum-to-be and I plan your pregnancy session with you so you receive the photos you want.

Whilst all women feel different in their pregnancy, photo sessions at this time generally place when your bump is looking swell and before you start to feel too uncomfortable towards the end of your term.

Before your photo session, we will have a chat about the type of photos you would like as a record of your pregnancy.

Ali put me completely at ease even though I was nervous about the shoot.

I think it’s great that she comes to your home so you’re somewhere familiar. It’s such a special time, yet you forget it all too quickly once the baby comes along! It’s a great way to remember the experience. And go with Ali – she is really friendly and a fantastic photographer.

FAQ’S about Pregnancy Photo Sessions

For outdoor sessions, we can go to a country park or woodland area similar to Wollaton Park. Once I know where you live, I can offer some suggestions or there may be somewhere you have in mind yourself.

For indoor pregnancy sessions, I will often use your home as a backdrop using doorways/arches, your bedroom, plain walls and your garden.

I have worked in homes of all sizes and can honestly say I’ve never had a problem achieving creative portraits. You are welcome to send me photos of some rooms in your house too so I can advise as to whether it will work.

Alternatively, I can bring a small portable backdrop with me and set this up if you have sufficient room.

As a general guide, I say between the 32nd and 36th week. You want the photo session to take place when your bump is looking swell but not so much so that you feel uncomfortable. This varies for each mum-to-be and some ladies will have their session around the 30th week if they feel ready.

Absolutely. When partners are at the photo session I take a mixture of photos of you together as well as individual portraits of you.

Outdoor sessions last between 45-60 minutes depending on the location.

Home sessions again last around 45-60 minutes.

I usually find this is plenty of time before mums start to feel tired.

Once you have a session booked with me, I will ask you to share any specific ideas you have with me either via a Pinterest Board or Whatsapp. This is particularly helpful for home sessions as it will give me an idea of the type of photos you like and whether you want to show your bare bump or whether you prefer to be clothed.

If you would like to chat, please get in touch.
