Hello and thank you for taking an interest in my newborn photography. I’m an experienced baby photographer in Nottingham providing baby photoshoots in the comfort of your own home. I travel to families throughout Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and further afield on request.

How will your baby photos be styled?

Your baby is posed and styled in a way which looks natural and yet takes patience to achieve the perfect pose.

My approach is to safely pose babies into cute curled-up poses but without any gimmicky props. So rather than posing your baby in basket, I’ll capture their natural purity on blankets accessorising with little wraps and hats (if required), after all, babies are beautiful just as they are.

If you’re a parent who feels less is more in newborn baby photos, you’ll be comfortable with my style of newborn photography.

About your baby photoshoot at home

Your baby photoshoot will take place in the comfort of your own home which is an element of my photography which parents love.

Ideally, this takes place in the first 2 weeks but I take the same approach up to 5 weeks old.

Your baby is safely posed for photos throughout the session as well as capturing the little yawns and expressions naturally occurring. I concentrate on your baby rather than props and trends which will date in years to come. The result is simple and beautiful photos by an experienced newborn baby photographer.

Fees for a Baby Photo Shoot at Home

Collection 1 (Mini Session)

£195

  • 1 hour photoshoot at your home Monday to Friday (Add £25 for a Saturday session).
  • (5) Digital Images (chosen from approx 15 photos).
  • Includes travel up to 10 miles from NG5 7NE.

Note: Session does not include sibling and family photos.

Payable as follows:-

£95 booking fee to secure your photo session which is deductible from the session fee. The remaining balance of £100 is payable on the day of the photo session.

Collection 2 Bespoke session

£395

  • 3 hour photo shoot at your home Monday to Friday (Add £25 for a Saturday session).
  • (10) Digital Images on a USB (chosen from approx 25-35 images.)
  • Session includes family and sibling photos.
  • Includes travel across the East Midlands.

Payable as follows:-

£95 booking fee to secure your photo session which is deductible from the session fee. The remaining balance is payable when you have viewed your photos and selected Collection 2 or 3.

Collection 3 Bespoke session

£495

  • 3 hour photo shoot at your home Monday to Friday (Add £25 for a Saturday session)
  • All Digital Images on a USB from your shoot (approx 25-35 images.)
  • (10) 7.5″ x 5″ prints
  • Session includes family and sibling photos.
  • £50 credit towards bespoke sitter/family session (to be taken anytime up to your baby’s 1st birthday ).
  • Includes travel across the East Midlands.

Payable as follows:-

£95 booking fee to secure your photo session which is deductible from the session fee. The remaining balance is payable when you have viewed your photos and selected Collection 2 or 3.

FAQs about Newborn Baby Photo Shoots

A Bespoke newborn session is the standard session type which I offer to new parents resulting in a variety of sleepy photos, awake photos and family photos. These sessions can last up to 3 hours long so there is plenty of time for feeding and settling babies during the session. These sessions are not rushed and are completely baby-led allowing plenty of time for curled-up sleepy photos. Bespoke newborn sessions include sibling and family photos and I travel across the East Midlands area covering Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Grantham.

Mini sessions are 1 hour long. These sessions are for parents who would like a few professional photos at a smaller cost. However, due to the shorter time frame, sleepy curled-up poses are not guaranteed and these sessions are only recommended if sleepy photos are not the most important photos to parents. If babies do fall asleep during the session, I will of course pose them into newborn positions. Mini sessions do not include sibling and family photos and the sessions are within a 10-mile radius of NG5 7NE.

Newborn sessions take place in the comfort of your home.  There’s no need to worry about taking your baby out in the early days and remembering to pack the kitchen sink(!), I come to you to make it as easy as possible.

I live in Nottingham and travel to Derby, Grantham and areas of Leicestershire.   For areas outside of the East Midlands, travelling costs may apply.  Please let me know your post code at the time of enquiry.

A newborn baby photoshoot generally takes place within the first 2 weeks and often up to 5 weeks old although the sooner the better though for those lovely curled-up poses.   As babies get older they stay awake for longer periods and become stronger pushing themselves out of poses.   An experienced baby photographer will advise on photos achievable for older babies. It’s never too late for beautiful photos of your baby and, if your baby is older, please read ‘Is it too late for newborn photos where you can see photos of older babies.

A mini-session will last 1 hour and a bespoke session will last up to 3 hours.

Yes, when you book a bespoke session parent and sibling photos are included and I take these photos with a lifestyle approach either sitting on your bed or sofa or in your baby’s nursery. Alternatively, these can be taken standing in front of a plain wall.

Please let me know in advance if you having siblings you would like to include in the session and their age so that I can plan the flow of your session as best as possible.

A selection of blankets are available to choose from to create a backdrop for your baby to lay on. In addition, I have a few hats and simple wraps which you can use should you wish to.

I don’t use basket props, flower arrangements etc as I want the photos to be all about your baby rather than props which may date in years to come. If you have something special you would like to incorporate in your session, however, I’m happy to include this. Please let me know beforehand so I can plan your session to include this.

To ensure availability when your baby arrives, I recommend booking in advance. All bookings taken in advance of your baby arriving are provisional dates and a fixed date is arranged once your baby arrives. By having a date in my diary it ensures availability around your due date.

If your baby has already arrived, please give contact me via my website or call or WhatsApp me at 07977 49473 and I will let you know the earliest date available for your session. As newborn session bookings are often rescheduled, late availability often comes up and I will always do my best to fit families in sooner rather than later.

Please let me know your due date or how old your baby is together with your preference for a mini-session or a bespoke session. Once a date has been arranged, a booking fee of £95 is payable to secure your session date together with the completion of an online booking form and the booking fee is deducted from your collection.
