Newstead Abbey Wedding Photographer

Emma & Nick’s Bold, Relaxed Wedding Day
This wedding from my archives was photographed back in 2014 at the beautiful Newstead Abbey in Nottingham.
I started the day with Emma and her family at home, where the children were happily painting while Emma got ready. From that moment, I had a feeling it was going to be a fun and relaxed day.
Emma and Nick chose a wedding venue close to where they lived, set in the stunning grounds of Newstead Abbey. Joined by their four children and parents, it was a small, intimate celebration with plenty of personal touches.
While the day followed a traditional format, their style was anything but ordinary. Everyone wore Converse pumps – and even the flowers were handmade.
Emma arrived with her bridesmaids in a classic VW campervan and, after an intimate ceremony, we had a walk around Newstead Abbey’s stunning grounds for a mix of family portraits and couple photographs. The architecture and gardens make a perfect backdrop for their colourful style.
The celebrations continued with champagne served from the campervan before heading to a local restaurant. From bridal preparations up to the start of their meal, my half-day photography coverage was perfect for them to capture everything they needed.
Whilst this wedding was over a decade ago, I still love their wedding photos. Producing photos which don’t date with time is something I always aim for when capturing weddings. I hope you enjoy looking through a selection of their photographs from Newstead Abbey, and if you are looking for a wedding photographer, I’d love to hear from you.
