How do we book?
Once we’ve gone over your wedding plans and you’re happy to book, I’ll send you a booking form which can be completed and signed online. A booking fee of £300 is required to secure your wedding date (shorter coverage booking fee to be advised). The balance of your wedding photography package is required in full 30 days prior to your wedding day.
If you would like to meet prior to booking, please let me know and we can arrange a convenient appointment. I also offer a pre-wedding consultation a couple of months prior to your wedding should you prefer to just meet at this stage.
How many photos do we receive?
The number of photos varies from wedding to wedding. As an average, I provide approximately 400-500+ individual images for all day coverage. This does not include the black and white version (see the next question). I do not cap the number of photos I provide to couples. I don’t provide photos for the sake of making up numbers nor do I keep photos from you because I have reached a set amount. My main focus us to provide you with quality photos.
Do you provide colour and black and white photos?
I provide most of the photos in colour and black and white. Therefore the number of photos quoted above more or less doubles. If I feel a photo doesn’t work in colour, I may just provide the black and white version. However, if you wish to see the colour, just ask.
Do you take group photos?
Of course. I appreciate that everyone likes some formal photos but I suggest these are kept to around 6 different group photos. This is so that you and your guests can enjoy the day without waiting around for endless group photos which is what couples will comment on when they have attended friend’s weddings. The more you have, the more it will impact on your celebrations.
You may require less or slightly more but this is always something I talk to couples about prior to your wedding.
Do you take photos of all the details at weddings (i.e. flowers, table plans etc)?
Yes. All the details that make your wedding unique deserve to remembered.
Note: This may not apply to shorter coverage depending on the length of coverage booked.
How long do you spend on bride and groom/couple photos?
This varies depending on how long you would like. As long as I know what you want, I will plan accordingly. It could be around 15-20 minutes although some couples will only require a handful of portraits. The time spent on these can also vary depending on the venue you are getting married at and the grounds to cover. I’m not one of those photographers who whisk couples away from their guests for hours (unless, of course, you want me to) and my “posing” is natural rather than forced poses.
When can we see our photos?
For all day coverage, photos can take up to 8 weeks to be ready to view especially during peak wedding season. I do my utmost to present them to you as soon as possible but it’s very important to me that I provide you with the best quality service and give my full attention to your photos. In the first instance, your photos will be uploaded to a password protected gallery which you can share with your family and friends. Shortly after, your USB will be posted to you.
Do you supply wedding albums?
I certainly do. These can be included in wedding package at the time of booking or after your wedding. Including a wedding album at the time of booking secures any price increase.
The turnaround for wedding albums is up to 8 weeks from the date you approve the final layout. All album content and layout is submitted to you for approval before ordering.
What type of weddings/locations do you photograph?
All weddings including church weddings, civil ceremonies, same-sex weddings, Chinese tea ceremonies and Asian weddings. I have photographed at many different venues such as stately homes, castles, village halls and marquees to name but a few.
Do you travel across the UK?
Yes. Although I live in Nottingham I’m more than happy to travel across the UK for your wedding.
Do you charge for travelling?
Travel is included for all day coverage. For shorter coverage, mileage may be charged if the location is outside of East Midlands area. Mileage is charged at 45p per mile from NG5 7NE. If overnight accommodation is required due to distance and start and finish times, these costs will be agreed with you at the time of booking.
What happens if you are ill?
Fortunately, I’m fit and healthy and, to date, I’ve never not been able to attend a wedding. I would have to be on death’s door to not turn up and in this instance, I would call upon the network of photographers I have to step in.
This is my full-time job which I am full committed to.
Are you insured?
Yes. As a professional photographer, I have full public liability insurance.
