Cockcliffe Country House Wedding Photography – Leigh and Tom
Cockcliffe Country House Wedding Photography
It’s been a while since I blogged, but this is the wedding of Leigh and Tom who were married at St. James’ Church in Papplewick followed by a reception at Cockcliffe Country House situated next to Burnstump Country Park. There were some familiar faces at the wedding as I had photographed Tom’s sister’s wedding and another friend’s wedding a few years ago!
Before I share individual photos from their amazing wedding day, I have put together a short video. If you would like to take a look at this first, you can play the video below. There are more photos in the video than the individual photos which follow.

The day started for me with Leigh with her bridesmaids and family at their home for the bridal preparations part of the day. Leigh was very relaxed taking her wedding day morning in her stride.
Wedding Ceremony at St. James’ Church Papplewick
It was on to St. James’ Church in Papplewick for the wedding ceremony where Tom and the groomsmen were already there ready to greet their guests arriving.
St. James’ Church is a beautiful church nestled down a country lane and, although I live quite near here, surprisingly it was the first time I had photographed there.
The guests arrived in full flow and high spirits ready for the day ahead.
Following the exchange of vows, the Reverend read out some lovely and funny words which Leigh and Tom had wrote for each other but neither had heard until the reading.

Following the beautiful ceremony, it was then onto Cockcliffe Country House just a short drive away.
The sun was shining bright and everyone congregated in the gardens mingling, drinking and making the most of the sunshine.
The ice-cream cart was definitely a welcome treat for everyone too.
The speeches were great entertainment and there was a short break before the evening entertainment began.
Wedding car drivers appear to be getting younger …
When one of your friends can’t be with you for your wedding day, there’s always a way to get a photo together …
When Leigh and Tom took to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife, it wasn’t long before the guests joined them on the dance floor.
For the first time ever, I heard the Baby Shark Song (which incidentally wasn’t Leigh and Tom’s first dance). I’m not quite sure how I’ve gone so long without knowing it given everyone else knew it along with the actions! As you will see from the photos below, there was plenty of fun to be enjoyed by everyone on the dance floor.

Finally, as at all weddings, I photograph all of the details like the flowers and table arrangements. Here are a few montages of these.
The day from start to finish was pure joy and happiness and it was an absolute pleasure to be part of Leigh and Tom’s special day. It was a joy to photograph them with their family and friends.
