EAST MIDLANDS WEDDING VENUES

Looking for that perfect East Midlands wedding venue? Having photographed weddings across the region, I’ve compiled a list of various locations in Nottinghamshire, Derby, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire so whether your style is a fairytale castle or a modern boutique, you might just find the perfect backdrop for your special day.
Nottinghamshire Wedding Venues
1. Norwood Park, Southwell
Norwood Park is an exclusive private country estate in Southwell, Nottinghamshire where you celebrate your civil ceremony and/or wedding reception. The interior and gardens throughout are stunning and you can’t help but fall in love with it. Rain or shine, there are plenty of beautiful backdrops for photos so you won’t need to worry about the British weather!

2. Old Vicarage Boutique Hotel, Southwell
The Old Vicarage Boutique Hotel in Southwell, Nottinghamshire is perfect for small intimate ceremonies and wedding receptions. The venue’s boutique styling flows throughout the whole of the venue. For summer ceremonies, you also have the option to use the outdoor bandstand for that continental feel to your wedding day.

Floral Media offers a relaxed setting for your wedding reception and is set within a beautiful countryside backdrop. The flowers grown here are stunning throughout the gardens. Steven and Paula are extremely friendly and will ensure you have an amazing day.

3. Cockcliffe Country House
Cockcliffe Country House is a refurbished 17th c Farmhouse on the outskirts of Nottingham. It provides a secluded setting for a wonderful wedding celebration. I have a sample wedding album should you wish to have a look at this but, in the meantime, please take a look at the links below.

4. Holme Pierrepont Hall
Holme Pierrepont Hall is a Grade I listed Tudor Manor House it’s the perfect venue for weddings at any time of year with period features and romantic gardens. St. Edmunds Church is also next to the Hall so ideal if you are having your ceremony there as it’s walking distance to the Hall.

5. Kelham House Southwell
Kelham House in Southwell caters for small and intimate weddings and larger weddings up to 150 guests. The venue has beautiful woodland gardens and a vast garden area to enjoy your day.

6. The Goosedale Nottingham
The Goosedale has a range of exclusive rooms that are picture perfect for the dream wedding. It caters for large weddings and has a range of rooms available depending on the size of your wedding. I remember photographing a wedding here in 2009 with 300 in the day and an additional 200 guests in the evening so there’s no need to whittle down your guest list here. Set within acres of land it has beautiful gardens for your wedding photos.

7. The Nottinghamshire
The Nottinghamshire is set within 340 acres of countryside and offers civil ceremonies and wedding receptions. The lovely wedding co-ordinators will ensure your wedding day is just the way you dreamed it would be.

8. Rufford Abbey
Rufford Abbey is surrounded by woodland, formal gardens and a lake. The Talbot Suite, on the first floor of Rufford Sawmill, provides a stylish venue for civil weddings or partnership ceremonies.

Lincolnshire Wedding Venues
9. Stubton Hall, Newark
Stubton Hall is another favourite wedding venue of mine. They can accommodate weddings of up to 200 guests inside their beautiful country house and it’s one of those venues which has plenty of photo opportunities whether it’s sunny or raining.

10. Belvoir Castle
Belvoir Castle is a spectacular venue both inside and outside. There are so many choices for your wedding day for your ceremony, drinks reception and evening entertainment which you can find on Belvoir Castle’s website.

11. Allington Manor
Allington Manor is a unique venue for civil weddings, partnerships and receptions. The stunning house and beautiful garden provide a grand setting for a relaxed and intimate celebration.

12. Stoke Rochford Hall
Stoke Rochford Hall has stunning views. The interior has ornate mansion rooms and the gardens are vast with exceptional views.

Leicestershire Wedding Venues
13. Prestwold Hall
Prestwold Hall is in the heart of Leicestershire Wolds is a Grade 1 listed stately home as well as a private residence. This is another favourite of mine because it doesn’t matter what the weather is like, there are beautiful locations for photos inside and outside as well as some undercover spots so couples have the “outdoor look” for their portraits whilst shielding themselves from sunshine, wind or rain!

14. Mythe Barn
Mythe Barn is a beautiful rustic and contemporary wedding venue set amidst acres of Leicestershire countryside. With beautiful scenery it provides a fairytale wedding for couples.
